There are weeks when you win or at least hold fast.
And then there are weeks when the demons catch you and give you a serious beat down. Last week was one of those weeks for me. Don’t know about you but I have names for my demons, Hate, Despair, and The Darkness. Darkness is the leader of the pack and while he can be quite charming, is truly an insidious cruel being. He’ll cut you just to watch you bleed.
But so it goes in the never-ending war on depression. Stay in the fight my depressive brothers and sisters. Use your tools. Call a friend. Keep those demons out of your head. Since The Darkness is a master at manipulation, the first song goes out to him this week. The second song is all about the inner fight we each face.
Be love. Be kind. We are all connected.
Life is better with a soundtrack.
