Jim Peterik wrote a song “about a girl that often used him for her mode of transportation, leading Peterik to surmise that he was little more than her “vehicle.”
Although, she used him to get around, he didn’t seem to mind. And, it inspired the lead single off the first album by The Ides of March which was also named, Vehicle. The song peaked at #2 in the U.S. and #3 in the UK. Not to be confused with Blood, Sweat, and Tears, The Ides of March only had the one hit, but it definitely was a hit.
Are you someone’s vehicle? Are you the driver? Or, are you just a passenger?
No matter your current driving or “status in life” situation, remember to be cool. Be generous. Let people in to your lane. Enjoy the ride! Or, get rid of any riders who won’t let you.
Food for thought. Here is this week’s #TBT song, Vehicle.
“Great God in Heaven, you know I love you.”
Be love. Be kind. We are all connected.
Life is better with a soundtrack.
